Supporting families to teach AAC and literacy

In this workshop, Tina explores how comprehensive literacy principles can be intentionally paired with AAC and supportive educational tools to create inclusive, engaging learning experiences. Using a clear, practical framework, this approach makes literacy instruction more accessible and achievable—particularly for families of children with disabilities. Participants will see examples of how to integrate the AAC app Proloquo with the instructional apps of the AssistiveWare Learning Service to enhance literacy instruction both in school and at home.
