AAC in the Cloud is a free online conference for those connected to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). The theme this year is “Beyond the Now” and sessions will cover a variety of topics related to AAC advancements, strides in technology and expanding understanding in the community, and more.
AssistiveWare will have a pre-conference webinar by Special Education Expert and Parent, Erin Sheldon: "Communicating for the Future - AAC and Transition Planning." During this webinar, Erin will cover a variety of tools and strategies to help AAC users transition from school to adult life. This webinar will be available one week before the conference.
AssistiveWare’s Speech Pathologist, Amanda Hartmann, will also present a session: “More Than the Device - Considering ALL Forms of Communication.” During this session, Amanda will provide an overview of all the different ways we can communicate and will share practical strategies for encouraging, respecting and building these for AAC users. This session will take place on Tuesday, June 23 at 6 PM Eastern Time.
