How can I block access to various Proloquo2Go and iOS features?

It is easy to restrict access to various features in Proloquo2Go. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Launch Proloquo2Go and open Options View:
*To open Options View on an iPad, tap the Options button (the gears) on the bottom toolbar.
*To open Options View on an iPhone or iPod touch, tap the Views button (double overlapping squares) and then tap Options.
  2. Scroll down if necessary, and then tap Restrictions.
  3. Here you can restrict access to different features of Proloquo2Go.

You can also prevent a user from gaining access to the restrictions, you can set a password for Proloquo2Go's Options View:

  1. If you are currently in the Restrictions section of Options View, tap the Options button to return to the main Options screen.
  2. Tap Lock Options (scroll down if necessary).
  3. Toggle Lock to ON.
  4. Enter and confirm a password, and then tap the Save button.
  5. Tap the <Options button to return to the main menu of Options View, and then tap the Done button to exit Options View. The next time you enter Options View, Proloquo2Go will ask for your password. If you want to change the password, you can tap Change Password in the Lock Options section of Options View. If you ever forget your password, please email support@assistiveware.com for assistance.

Alternatively you can completely hide the Options. To do so, go to the Settings App on your device's home screen, scroll down in your list of apps, tap Proloquo2Go, and then toggle Show options button to OFF.

In addition, you can block access to Safari, YouTube, iTunes, and the installation, deletion and running of third-party apps. To do so, on your device's home screen, tap the Settings app. Next, tap General, scroll down, and then tap Restrictions to set access to certain applications, features, and content. We strongly recommend that you turn off the ability to delete apps, as with it on, you run a very strong risk of losing your customizations.
