How can I hide or show different words than my Progressive Language step's defaults?

Sometimes, you may need to teach a specific core word that is not yet showing in the current Progressive Language step. You can override the Progressive Language defaults to hide or show a certain button by editing the button's Visibility setting.

When you manually set Proloquo2Go to show a certain button, it will remain visible as you move up the Progressive Language steps. However, if you manually hide a button that would otherwise be shown, it will automatically be shown when you next increase the Progressive Language step.

When you change a specific button's visibility, this change will not automatically be applied across all folders like the Progressive Language settings are. To hide buttons across all folders, follow the steps below:

  1. First, navigate to the Home folder. Open Edit Mode.
  2. Tap the button(s) you want to hide or show.
  3. In the list of button properties, tap Visibility. Select Hidden or Shown.
  4. Tap Done to exit Edit Mode.
  5. Next, you need to edit any templates containing the button(s). You can edit a template by going to Options (gear button) > Vocabulary > Edit Templates. Tap the name of the template you want to edit.
  6. Repeat steps 2-4 in the template editing interface. Depending on the button, you may need to edit multiple templates.
