Why won't Proloquo2Go speak?

If you are having difficulty making Proloquo2Go speak, there are a few things you should try:

  1. If your device is in a speaker case or is connected to a speaker, remove your device from the case or disconnect the speaker to be sure the issue is not with these peripherals.
  2. Check your device's volume and ring/silent settings.

For instructions, see this Apple Support document:
  3. Open Options* and check the following:
    • Go to Speech and Language > Speak Buttons and make sure Message Buttons or All Buttons is selected.
    • Go to Speech and Language and make sure the Volume slider is all the way to the right.
    • Go to Speech and Language, tap the "i" next to a language, tap Primary Voice, and then tap a voice under "Installed Voices" and see if it speaks a sample sentence.
    • Go to Access Method and make sure Hold Duration is set to "0" seconds.
    • Go to Interaction and make sure the following are selected:

      Under the "Message Window" section:
      • Repeated Tap: Stop Speech
      • Repeat Delay: None
    • Under the "Buttons" section:
      • Allow Repeat: On/Green
      • Repeat Delay: None

Assuming you have completed all the steps successfully, you should now be able to make Proloquo2Go speak.
