How can I reorder buttons and folders?

Proloquo2Go offers flexibility in reordering buttons and folders. You can use one of three different ordering options to arrange buttons and folders exactly where you wish. These ordering options give you more control over placement of vocabulary, simplifying customization and improving organization for the user.

Reorganizing by dragging:

  1. Tap the Edit button (the pencil) if you are not already in Edit Mode.
  2. Press and hold on a button until it pulses and then move it in-between two (non-template) buttons. In general, the button will be placed in-between the other two buttons, and all buttons will reflow.
  3. Tap the Done button to confirm your changes.

Swapping by dragging:

  1. Tap the Edit button (the pencil) to enter Edit Mode.
  2. Press and hold on a button until it pulses and then drag it onto the (non-template) button with which you would like it to swap. The two buttons will now swap while keeping all the other buttons in place.
  3. Tap the Done button to confirm your changes.

Swapping by using the Swap button:

  1. Tap the Edit button (the pencil) to enter Edit Mode.
  2. Select the buttons you would like to swap. A little checkmark appears on the top right of the button to confirm your selection.
  3. Now, tap the Swap button. The buttons will now swap places, while keeping all the other buttons in place. You can also select multiple buttons at once. By using the Swap button, the buttons will rotate clockwise.

Reorganizing by alphabetizing:

  1. Tap the Edit button (the pencil) to enter Edit Mode.
  2. Select the (non-template) buttons you would like to organize by alphabet.
  3. Tap the A-Z button (Sort) to alphabetize the selected buttons.

Note: When Manual Layout for Each Grid Size is ON, you can move any button anywhere on the screen by just dragging and dropping it on top of another button. If there's a non-template button in the location already, that non-template button will swap locations with the button that was dragged on top of it. If there's a template button in the location already, the dragged button is placed on top of the template button, hiding it. Note that you cannot move a button in-between two other buttons if Manual Layout for Each Grid Size is ON.

To turn Manual Layout for Each Grid Size to ON, please do the following:

  1. Go to Edit Mode (the pencil)
  2. Select the folder you would like to use Manual Layout for Each Grid Size for
  3. Go to the Folder tab
  4. Tap on Content
  5. Toggle Manual Layout for Each Grid Size to ON

If you don't see the Manual Layout for Each Grid Size choice, go to Options > Editing and make sure Advanced Editing is turned ON.
