How can I copy Phrases, Quick Talk, and History between users?

It is easy to copy and paste Phrases, Quick Talk, and History between users in Proloquo4Text. This can be helpful if multiple users share a device and you want to share vocabulary between them.

To copy and paste Phrases, Quick Talk, and History, do the following:

  1. Tap the Edit (pencil) button to the right of the Quick Block label to enter Edit Mode. On iPhone or iPod touch, you may first need to hide the keyboard by tapping the Open/Close Keyboard toggle.
  2. Navigate to the Quick Block containing the item or category you want to copy. You can toggle between Quick Blocks by tapping the Quick Block label.
  3. If you want to copy an item in Phrases or Quick Talk, navigate to the category containing it. In Edit Mode, you can tap a category's name to enter it. If you want to copy a whole category, do not go inside it. Stop when you see the category name in the list of categories and items.
  4. Tap Select in the bottom left corner of the Quick Block.
  5. Tap the desired items and/or categories to select them.
  6. Tap Action.
  7. Tap Copy.
  8. Tap Done in the bottom left corner of the Quick Block.
  9. Tap Done in the top right corner of the screen to exit Edit Mode.
  10. Tap the Options button (the gear) above the Text Pad. 
  11. Tap User, then tap the user you want to paste the Phrases, Quick Talk, or History in to switch to it.
  12. Tap the Edit (pencil) button to the right of the Quick Block label to enter Edit Mode.
  13. Navigate to the Quick Block and category where you want to paste the copied contents.
  14. Tap Action.
  15. Tap Paste.
  16. Tap Done at the bottom of the Quick Block.
  17. Tap Done in the top right corner of the screen to exit Edit Mode.
