Why does Proloquo2Go appear to be frozen or unresponsive?

There are a few reasons Proloquo2Go may not respond when buttons are tapped:

  1. If there is a play/pause button in the top left corner of the screen, this means that scanning is enabled as an access method. To stop the scan, tap the pause button, then tap and hold the play button until a dialog box appears. Tap 'OK' in the dialog box to confirm that you want to stop Switch Access.
  2. Setting a Hold Duration can also make Proloquo2Go appear unresponsive.

To remove the Hold Duration, first open Options:
    • On iPad, tap and hold the Options (gear icon) button for at least five seconds, then lift your finger from the screen.
    • On iPhone and iPod touch, tap and hold the Tools (four squares icon) button for at least five seconds, then lift your finger from the screen. Tap and hold Options for at least five seconds, then lift your finger from the screen.
Next, go to Access Method and hold down on the '-' button next to Hold Duration until it goes back to 0.0 sec.
  3. If you are running a Guided Access session, touch input may have been disabled. Try triple-clicking the device's Home button. Enter your Guided Access passcode when prompted. In the Guided Access settings, make sure that Touch is toggled to ON/green.
