Joystick controller

Hi

My daughter is 16 and uses pro lo for communication. She also uses it for recording and answering schoolwork via elbow access. This is fine for communication but is compromising posture for increased workload. When at her PC she would use a joystick mouse (not scanning just mouse). We would love to attach a device like this to her iPad. I have bought a J pad which only works in scanning mode so is no use for her and I also bought Iportal which in theory should work but doesn't due to the inability to turn off voiceover which makes it not practical.
Do you have any plans to introduce a joystick mouse for use with iPad for communication apps?
Many thanks

Hi

Hi
Would be great if a joystick mouse could be attached to Apple devices for those with motor challenges as scanning doesn't work for my daughter . Thanks

Hello -

Please know that currently iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch do not support a cursor. So that's what makes this complicated.

We have heard the iPortal from Dynamic Controls was an option but it sounds like the Voice Over issue is preventing it from being a viable solution.

The j-pad does work but it works with scanning and that doesn't appear to be an option for your daughter.

The issue is not with Proloquo2Go but rather with the iOS. I will bring this access issue to the attention of our developers but I don't know enough to be able to comment on if this will even be a possibility.

Kindly,
Pam
