Web Based Proloquo2Go??

I saw this question and its subsequent answer under the professionals discussions of this forum. The answer was supplied over a year ago so I thought I would broach the subject again.

When are the developers going to make a web based P2G so we, as caregivers, parents, professionals etc etc can work on changes/updating users accounts from our computers while they have their devices with them at school/in the community/etc etc? Not everyone has more than 1 IOS compatible device. Which leads to the next question: when are the developers of P2G going to start formatting for other operating system? Apple devices are twice as expensive as Android and Apple still doesn't give the option of expanding the size of the hard drive. So a lot of people are or already have migrated to less expensive more user friendly devices.

I think P2G is a fantastic app and my son has been using for the past 8 years. However, if a company wants to stay competitive, especially in todays market then the company needs to evolve and keep up with the times. I've noticed while researching (I'm always looking for something better for JR) other AAC apps that they are formatted for (at least) the top 2 OS, Android and Apple. I've also noticed that the majority are web based as well.

I'm informing you of this as a customer who's been very happy with P2G but like most are always on the lookout.

Hi Deborah,

Hi Deborah,

We are considering a web-based customization interface for a future update, but are still in the research phase and don't yet have a timeline for when it might be added.

If you would like to stay informed of product updates and events, you can do so by signing up for the AssistiveWare News: http://www.assistiveware.com/newsletter

Regarding supporting other devices, we currently have no plans to support any additional devices as we prefer to concentrate on iOS and make the best possible software for that platform, rather than spread our resources and create mediocre products on multiple devices.

Thanks a lot for your feedback, it's always very useful to hear from our users/their caregivers and professionals who support them. If you have any other suggestions, please let us know here or at support@assistiveware.com.

All the best,

Anne

Well web based interface is

Well web based interface is at least half the battle. And that would address the issue of doing updates when there is only one device. So it's good. Thank you Anne.
