scanning options

I have been playing with the scanning options but can't get it to do what I want it to do. What I want is for the software to scan each item on the communication grid automatically but not the buttons outside the communicaton grid. So that when the communication choice is highlighted, my daughter can hit the switch to select it. She doesn't need to access the buttons outside of the communication grid and this would interfere with her getting her message across. What am I missing? I feel like there has to be a way to do this!!

Hi Jeanne,

Hi Jeanne,

At this time this is no scanning pattern that scans the grid buttons only. This feature is on our wish-list so we are working on adding this scan pattern in a future update. If you would like to stay informed of product updates and events, you can do so by signing up for the AssistiveWare News: http://www.assistiveware.com/newsletter

What you could to speed-up the scanning, is hide all the buttons on the toolbar that your daughter does not need access to:

1. Go to your "Options"
2. Tap on "Restrictions"
3. Toggle eg. "Edit Mode", "Typing View", "Recent View" and "Keyboard Button" to OFF
4. In your device's "Settings" app, outside of Proloquo2Go, you can also hide the "Options" button by scrolling all the way down, tapping on Proloquo2Go and toggling "Show options button" to OFF

Hope this helps!

Best wishes,

Anne
